My Grandad loved his job – as in: eat, sleep and dream of Tynecastle.

He was the head groundskeeper for many years there. He lived on Gorgie Road, in the tenements, and his flat was very popular on match day as you could see the pitch from his window. I’m sure he was very proud on this particular day, parading around the Scottish Cup.

Not sure of the year, sorry. Maybe someone has a more accurate memory of the event … I would love to hear it!
