Allan Carver
My greatest football memory – although not strictly football, but connected – was the reaction of my fellow fans (and myself) after losing the UEFA Cup Final in 1987.
It was the perfect show of sportsmanship and pride – and possibly the greatest of many examples of causes to be proud of being an Arab.
Still gutted to have lost the tie, but I still get the most severe case of neck hairs standing when I recall it.
