John Gahagan

My favourite Morton memory is quite simple: I remember the team I was involved with, mixing with boys like Brian Reid, Alan Mahood, Derek McInnes and Derek Collins.

We had Allan McGraw, John McMaster, Eddie Morrison at the club and there was also Alex Mathie, who was a nice player in my time there.

Getting to mix with all those boys and seeing them all flourish was special, but it also convinced me that I was deid!

It was great and I got an opportunity to do a wee bit of coaching with these fantastic boys – and I’ve since realised I have no ability whatsoever as a coach!

I’ve got beautiful memories from my four years there. I don’t have a bad word to say about the place and it was special to be part of that team of players.
